This is the last entry, and I am writing it on the last day of school. Five months ago NEURA was a hardware decision and a blank folder. Today it listens, talks, makes faces, survives a fall, and has a commercial. It is a strange thing to write the final log for something that finally feels alive.
The big event this week was shooting the ads. After all those weeks of figuring out the message, I finally put NEURA in front of a camera the way a customer would see it. Someone talks, it answers in its own voice, the eyes react, and it pulls something up on its face. Watching it perform on camera, without me narrating a single feature, was the closest I have come to seeing NEURA the way a stranger will.
I also spent time this week designing what comes next. This robot is the first of a line, not the end of one. I sketched out future versions, different sizes and different roles, and started thinking about what a second and third product would share and where they would branch off. Finishing one thing has a way of showing you the ten things you want to build after it.
It is worth being honest about how I got here. A computer died and cost me a whole sprint. Shells cracked on the floor more times than I can count. Half of these weeks did not go the way I planned them. But every setback ended up pointing me straight at the thing I had been avoiding, and the project is stronger because of the detours, not in spite of them.
NEURA started as a school project, and on paper it still is. But somewhere in these twenty two weeks it turned into something I actually believe in: a companion with a brain on your own machine and a face on your desk, built by one person, week by week, out in the open. That was the whole point of writing these logs, to prove it could be done and to leave a record of exactly how.
So this is where the school chapter closes and the real one opens. The capstone is finished, but NEURA is not. Thank you for reading along all summer. The building does not stop here, it just stops needing a due date. On to whatever is next.
